The 2026 KTM 990 RC R TRACK is a highly anticipated supersport track-only model, stripped of all homologated street components for pure circuit performance. Inspired by the RC16, it features color-injected bodywork with downforce-optimized wings and a taller windscreen for a full tuck. The 947 cc engine now boasts additional horsepower and torque, paired with a stainless steel Akrapovič Evolution Line exhaust system and dedicated track gearbox. A compact 4.2-inch Landscape TFT minimal display keeps essential information in view. Track features include brake lever protector, quick release fuel cap, carbon aluminum sprocket protector, race-spec chain, and rear stand swingarm adapters (rear stand supplied as standard). Adjustable GILLES footpegs are moved 25 mm up and 17 mm higher for greater lean angle. Adjustable steering damper with + / - 3 mm range window and 49 mm stroke. Redesigned, machined, black aluminum clip-on handlebars are fixed 10 mm lower on the triple clamp and 3 degrees downward for better rider weight distribution. 6D IMU enabled MTC with track mapping and three TRACK modes (plus On / Off). TRACK mode offers MTC Slip Adjust, three Throttle Response options, six-level Anti-wheelie Control, Quickshifter+, and Launch and Engine Braking Control. Frame, subframe, and swingarm (and geometry) taken from the new KTM 990 RC R. Fully adjustable 48 mm WP APEX forks featuring track settings, with 30 clicks tuning and 147 mm of travel. Fully adjustable WP APEX shock with track specific settings for maximum performance. High-performance braking system including Brembo HyPure front calipers grabbing 320 mm floating discs and the ABS modulator removed for pure performance. Michelin Power Slick competition tires coupled with black wheels.
