A statewide push to open more legal land for off-road riding in Florida — and keep the next generation on two wheels.

Here at WMR Competition Performance, riding isn't just what we sell — it's who we are. That's why we're throwing our full support behind a brand-new Florida non-profit that's fighting for something every rider cares about: more places to legally ride.

The Let's Ride Project is officially launching, and we couldn't be more excited to help spread the word. It's a coalition of riders, clubs, race promoters, dealerships, landowners, tracks, and industry partners — all rallying around one simple goal:

More places to ride. A stronger future for Florida.

Every Locked Gate Is One Less Place to Ride.

Liability fears keep good Florida land closed. We're changing the law so landowners can open it.

Florida Riders Are Running Out of Room

If you've been riding in Florida for any length of time, you've felt it. For years, the map has been shrinking. Tracks close and never get replaced. Clubs and events struggle to find ground. And thousands of acres of land that would be perfect for organized riding stay locked behind gates.

Here's the frustrating part: it's often not because owners don't want to open their property. It's because they're afraid of the liability if they do. Every locked gate is one less place to ride — and the cost lands on all of us. Riders leave the sport. Families lose places to ride together. Dealers sell fewer bikes. Events disappear, and with them the tourism and local economy they bring.

The Solution: One Bill, More Open Land

The Let's Ride Project is championing legislation aimed at the 2027 Florida Legislative Session that does one thing: it removes the unnecessary liability fears keeping good land closed today, so responsible landowners can open their property for organized off-road riding.

To be clear about what the bill does — and doesn't do:

  • Reasonable liability protection for landowners who allow organized off-road motorcycle recreation on their land.
  • It does NOT protect negligence. Property owners stay accountable — the law simply removes the fear that keeps gates shut.
  • A proven model. Similar legislation is already working in Texas and other states.

The Roadmap

The campaign is already underway:

2026
Build the coalition, raise funds, meet with legislators, and organize a grassroots rider advocacy network across Florida.
2027
Introduce the bill in the Florida Legislature — with the goal of committee approval, House and Senate passage, and the Governor's signature.
NEXT
When it passes, more land opens — and Florida riding gets the future it deserves.

2027 is closer than it looks. The coalition is being built right now — and every name matters.

Why WMR Is All In

As your #1 KTM, Husqvarna, GASGAS, Stark Future, and WP Suspension race shop here on the Treasure Coast, we see it every day: the sport is only as strong as the places we have to ride. When riders have somewhere to go, families ride together, kids grow into the sport, events come back, and the whole community gets stronger.

That's a future worth fighting for — so we're standing behind the Let's Ride Project from day one, and we're asking our riders, customers, and friends to do the same.
